HYDROPONIC FARMING

The origin of agriculture dates back to the existence of humanity. In traditional farming, productivity depends on soil quality, climatic conditions, and the natural environment. Hydroponics, on the other hand, is a method that eliminates one of the biggest limitations encountered in agricultural production for centuries: dependence on soil. First applied in its modern sense in the mid-20th century, this system today forms the basis of high-tech greenhouse cultivation. The water and nutrients required by the plant are delivered directly to the root zone with precise dosing. Thus, productivity and quality become independent of soil quality or climatic conditions.

Team Agro's facility in Aksaray was designed with the most suitable infrastructure for hydroponic farming. The region's large and flat land, long hours of sunshine, and geothermal-supported heating system create the ideal environment for our plants to grow. Thanks to the automation systems used in our greenhouse, the water and nutrient needs of each plant are measured instantly and delivered to the roots in the correct dose. This allows us to obtain products with an average size of 50–60 caliber, high Brix values, and consistent hardness and durability. By combining the advantages of hydroponics with the region's natural resources and our facility's technological infrastructure, we produce with the same quality year-round.
